I’m Ken
I see stories before I see photographs.
If you’re planning a wedding in Albany or the Capital Region, this is the best place to start:
Why I Photograph Weddings
I’ve always been drawn to stories — not just the big moments, but the quiet ones in between. The way a room feels before a ceremony. The way someone reaches for a hand without thinking.
Weddings bring all of that into one day. Emotion, movement, anticipation, reflection. My role isn’t just to document what happened — it’s to notice what mattered.
I photograph honestly, gently, and without forcing the moment.
If you’re curious how this approach shapes the way I photograph a wedding day, you can explore the full experience here.
What It’s Like to Work With Me
On a wedding day, my presence is intentional and steady.
Your wedding day should feel like your wedding day — not a photoshoot.
See what couples have said about their experience in my reviews.
If you’re beginning to picture how this might feel on your wedding day, we can start with a simple conversation.
My Approach
I blend observation with intention. I’m drawn to natural light, real emotion, and images that feel timeless rather than trendy.
I don’t chase spectacle. I look for authenticity.
The goal is simple: photographs that feel as meaningful years from now as they do today.
I also photograph editorial work as a way to continue experimenting with lighting and direction.
I also work from a dedicated downtown Albany studio used for portraits, headshots, editorial sessions, and creative collaborations — a calm creative space designed for thoughtful, intentional photography year-round.
A Photographer Shaped by Place
Every wedding has its own rhythm, energy, and moments waiting to be discovered. My approach is built around paying attention, anticipating what is happening, finding beauty in unexpected places, and creating images that feel natural rather than staged.
That perspective was shaped over years of exploring New York City with a camera. Traveling regularly between the Capital Region and Manhattan, I spent evenings photographing the streets, architecture, changing light, and the people who make the city unique. The pace and contrasts of the city taught me to observe carefully and find meaningful moments wherever they appear.
Today, that same curiosity guides my wedding photography throughout the Adirondacks, the Hudson Valley, Saratoga, New York City, and beyond, creating images that reflect not only how a wedding looks, but how it feels.
Meaningful Wedding Images
Are Created Together
I’ve come to believe the most meaningful wedding photographs are created together.
Through trust.
Through comfort.
Through presence.
Through the space a couple and a photographer create with one another throughout the wedding day.
That idea became the foundation for a small ebook I created called:
Creating Meaningful Wedding Images Together
I wrote it for couples who want their photographs to feel less performative and more personal — images that reflect not only how the wedding looked, but how it felt to live through it.
The ebook explores:
– connection,
– collaboration,
– emotional presence,
– and the quieter moments that often become the most meaningful memories later.
More than anything, it reflects the approach I try to bring to every wedding I photograph: working with couples, not simply photographing them.

Beyond the Wedding Day
Storytelling doesn’t stop when the wedding ends.
Through my writing and podcast, I explore creativity, community, and the deeper meaning behind the work we do.
Conversations with other photographers, reflections on storytelling, and insights shaped by years of experience all inform how I approach each celebration.
Photography is part of a larger creative life — and that perspective shapes everything I create.
Through photography, writing, podcasting, and long-form storytelling, I explore the ways people remember meaningful experiences and the connections that shape them.

A Few Personal Notes
Early mornings and strong coffee.
A lifelong love of film and storytelling.
Inspired by light — natural, cinematic, fleeting.
Grateful to do work that matters.
You’ll often find Moxie, my Great Pyrenees, keeping me company between editing sessions.
If This Feels Aligned
Most couples reach out at this point—not because everything is decided, but because something about the work feels right.
If that’s where you are, we can start with a simple conversation.
No pressure, no expectations—just a chance to talk through your plans and see if it feels like a good fit.
